Free upgrade to sBorg v5.5 for hosted clients

I’ve recieved several emails asking me this so i am going to post it here.

Upgrade/re-installation is free of charge on sBorg hosting plans. This means if you are hosted by us (sborg.us) you will receive a free upgrade to the latest version when you request it.

If you want us to upgrade/reinstall your sBorg, please note that all your data will be deleted. So please make a backup of all your important data, this includes your logs, forum template, post template, downloaded files, custom files (myfiles), stored account details etc.

After backing up is completed, create a support ticket and we will proceed with upgrade/re-installation.

Finally sBorg v5.5 is out!!

Here comes out the version you all have been waiting for. Somik was a bit busy with his newly joined university and I (Abhi) was recently out of my training. We both were mostly busy with out lives and there was pretty less time for us to work on sBorg. We thank one and all of you to keep up with the wait and we hope that this version satisfies your needs.

We’re releasing this version v5.5 as beta because we were not able to test out all the features of it. You can check the changelog for a list of things that were added/removed/updated

Europe servers back online

The Europe serves are back online and all accounts were created. Moreover, sBorg’s latest beta version will be released to public hopefully this weekend. It is still not a complete version so we advice that you do not upgrade until the final version is released.

Europe server reinatallation started

As you may know, we have been facing various issues with Centos 6.0 and 6.1 in the past few days, so we have decided to switch back to Centos 5.x for now. According to linux forums, Centos 6.0 is still not stable for production servers and it has a number of memory leak issues.

As usual, all clients will be given additional days due to the downtime.
